Childcare Business Pathways is a 15-week business program for NYCHA entrepreneurs who want to start home-based childcare businesses.
In partnership with NYCHA's Office of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability (REES), this program streamlines the process of becoming an in-home childcare provider.
Participants receive classroom training on:
- Business operations
- Marketing
- Financial structures
Participants can also get:
- Funding to complete health and safety training along
- An opportunity to receive a $500 grant to purchase necessary supplies to run their business
- One-on-one support to help complete their child care provider applications
