  • To report an unsanitary condition or a maintenance issue in a shelter, please file a Homeless Shelter Complaint.
  • If you live in a shelter and aren't able to resolve a medical concern with shelter staff, please contact the DHS Ombudsman.

If you are a homeless shelter resident, client advocates can help with resolving issues and overcoming barriers.

You can also report medical concerns while you are in the shelter.
