Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

The Health Department is currently reviewing all complaints and responding primarily to those that pose an imminent threat to public health or safety.

Non-emergency complaints will be logged and responded to when regular operations resume.

You can report people getting food poisoning. Food poisoning occurs when food eaten by a person gives them a physical illness with the following symptoms:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Abdominal cramps

You can report food poisoning caused by eating food made by any commercial establishment or from eating at parties, weddings, banquets, or other gatherings.

When reporting cases of food poisoning, you should provide the number of people who became sick and the type of food you think caused the illness.

What Happens Next

Though anonymous reports are accepted, if you can provide at least a daytime phone number, it will help the City with any followup questions as your report is investigated. While all reports are investigated, not every food establishment will be inspected until its next scheduled annual inspection.
