Through its consultation services, SBS provides information, guidance, and technical assistance to businesses in helping them access additional city, state, and federal incentives. These programs encourage facility investment, business retention, and expansion within all five boroughs of New York City.

The Energy Cost Savings Program (ECSP) provides non-retail commercial and industrial businesses rebates of up to 45 percent on regulated electric costs and up to 35 percent on regulated natural gas costs for firms moving into NYC or within the five boroughs excluding Manhattan south of 96th Street. 

Eligible businesses within newly constructed or renovated buildings may also be eligible. Strict filing deadlines apply. 

Hotels, hospitals, retail businesses, personnel services firms, and public benefit corporations are ineligible.

Manufacturing firms can get a one-time tax credit for relocating to or within an Industrial Business Zone in New York City.

Businesses get a credit for eligible moving costs of up to $1,000 per full-time employee or $100,000, whichever is lower.
